Adventure Playground

New Play Equipment Opens

We’ve spent £400,000 on some spectacular new play equipment to cement our place as one of Yorkshires top tourist attractions.

The equipment is manufactured by Richter in Germany who lead the world in childrens play equipment and supplied by Timberplay from Sheffield. The climbing forest, innovative new tube maze and pyramid towers add another dimension to our already impressive playground.

There is something for children of all ages. Children can play for hours, letting off steam on the spectacular new slides, towers and climbing frames, although, of course, age and height  restrictions apply to some equipment. Our new tube maze is the biggest of it’s type in Europe and provides a setting for the best game of hide and seek the kids will ever have.

We have a specially designed and newly extended area for younger children where equipment is tailored to the requirements of these very important customers.

Ample seating is available for parents around the playground areas.

Our indoor play area The Hungry llama is now open. Please take a moment to read the rules before you visit, especially those regarding children’s clothing on the indoor play.

Children over the age of 12 are NOT allowed onto the play equipment. The main play frame is suitable for children aged 3 to 12. The pre-school play frame is ONLY for children aged 0 to 4.

Obey staff members and any signs relating to play equipment.

Parents/carers are required to supervise their children at all times.

Long sleeves and trousers are required for safe play. Children wearing inappropriate clothing will not be allowed on the slides.

No shoes are allowed on the play–frames. Socks MUST be worn by everyone at all times.

Injured or unwell children are not allowed on the play equipment.

Adults are only allowed onto the play equipment to assist or retrieve their children.

No food or drink (including chewing gum) is allowed on the play equipment.

Jewellery, scarves, belts, watches and badges should be removed before going onto the play equipment.
