Cannon Hall Farm invite you to be our guest for this tale as old as time, Beauty and the Beast.

Cannon Hall Farm, in Barnsley, has teamed up with TaleGate Theatre for an exciting production that’s a tale as old as time. The production will be staged in an indoor, heated new event space – and will be a full hour and a half long show packed with songs, slapstick, silliness, breathtaking special effects, and all the fairytale magic of traditional pantomime.

Farmer Robert Nicholson said: “Putting on a proper panto for our visitors at Christmas seemed like the right thing to do. We were really into amateur dramatics and theatre ourselves as children, and there’s some cringe-worthy video about of us somewhere on stage, but we’d never really thought to bring it to the farm.

“We are all about families having a great time when they visit us and our Summer holiday programme – where we had mini shows – was really well received. So we thought we’d go the whole hog. We knew it wasn’t something we’d be able to deliver ourselves, so we sought help from another local company who will be putting on the production, with scenery and lights and staging. We are really excited.”

The Beauty and the Beast pantomime will be showing at Cannon Hall Farm on November 12, 13, 19 and 20. Visitors will not be charged any extra to watch the hour and a half long production – the panto ticket is included with farm entry admission of £8.95.
