Ruby’s Birth Video
Our Shire horse Ruby timed her foaling perfectly - and delivered her filly live on a Facebook broadcast. If you needed a reason to tune in on Wednesday and Sundays at 7.30am then this is it. Join Farmer Rob as he introduces our newest foal - and recaps on all our new arrivals in our Shire Stable. We could not be more proud.
Wild Water Voles Conservation Project
Farmer Georgie's passion for conservation is extending to the surroundings of our farm as she's been given a site from the People's Trust for Endangered Species to survey.
She really wants to increase numbers of water voles - not just in her mammal house but in the wild.
The Shires Go Out!
Farmer Ruth is in the paddocks with her pals as our heaviest horses go out to grass - and enjoy having a good nibble of the lush green pastures at Cannon Hall Farm.
We are so proud of our Shire horse conservation work - just look at these beauties.
A Joyous Time: Robert and Bruce In the Sun!
Farmer Rob is on cloud nine as he takes our Highland cow Lady, with her twins Robert and Bruce, out to grass for the first time this year. And it all went swimmingly, until Elvis our llama escaped...
Silver has had her foal!
Silver has had her foal after a stressful journey - so Farmer Rob now has grand plans for a Shire horse Mother and Toddler group. Join him as he makes pals with the treasured new foal, and thanks everyone for their lovely messages of support.
Name reveal for Bonnie’s Highland Calf
Bonnie, one of our beloved Highland cows, recently gave birth to her very first calf.
She timed her delivery perfectly for our Channel 5 TV show, "Springtime on the Farm," so the TV cameras were there to catch all the action.
Her calf is a healthy little female, and we're thrilled to officially introduce her.
Farewell our friends!
Today is a good (if sad) day - as we bid a fond farewell to two of our lovely Shetland Ponies.
Even though they were reluctant to leave at first, we are happy to report they are absolutely living their best lives with their new family.
Farmer Ruth’s Fundraising Mission
Farmer Ruth is doing a charity bike ride for The Shire Horse Society and the DPJ Foundation, a mental health charity for the farming community. She will be biking for five days from the 13th of May which is around 400 miles! Please sponsor her if you can.
Tree Shrew Babies!
There's some exciting news from Michael Shrewmacher and Shrew Barrymore, the tree shrews in our mammal house have had babies! Join Farmer Georgie as she does her first health check on her tiny new charges.
Ted and Emma’s Holiday
We know you've really enjoyed following our bull Ted's story - and he's now enjoying a fantastic summer of loving in Scotland.
His pal Emma went with him for company - and we made sure to film this very special journey.
