Getting show ready!
Our Highland bull Murphy is making an appearance at Emley Show - which can only mean one thing...it's bath time!
Farmer Ruth is in the hairdressing seat giving him a makeover...and it is always a bit of give and take when you have to handle these massive animals.
Welcome Puffle!
We are so proud to welcome a brand new species to Cannon Hall Farm's mammal house. Puffle, the long-nosed Potoroo, is on the endagered species list but Farmer Georgie has been working with her zoo colleagues to offer one a new home in Barnsley.
Shearing the alpacas!
Our alpacas have been sheared and we've got some amazing fibres from our friendliest crew on the farm.
It's so great to see them when they've been shared as they always look so different.
Sapphire’s Foal!
It's been a long time coming (it felt) but Sapphire has finally given birth to her beautiful Shire foal.
She managed it with just a little bit of moral support from Farmer Dave and Anita.
We are overjoyed. Don't forget if you plan to visit them, you can use code 20summer for discounted tickets.
Farewell friend
Join us as we say a fond farewell to our Shetland My Little Tony.
It’s almost time !
Sapphire's foal is imminent - we think tonight is the night as her milk is now starting to come in!
Exciting times down on the farm - and, of course, Farmer Rob had to come and take a quick peek (on his crutches)
A ray of Sunshine!
Helen's baby is one of the friendliest new arrivals we've ever had on the farm - and so naming her was an easy choice.
What a little ray of sunshine she is!
Hold please, Caller!
"I'm getting a bit tired, but not tired of you... you are a good one!"
Farmer Dave is checking in with Sapphire, whose nightly maternity phone calls are getting out of hand.
The foal is overdue - and she's keeping us in suspense.
Nanny’s Recovery!
We've had so many messages from people checking up on our goat Nanny, who we had to rush for a c-section last week.
Although her kid didn't make it, we are delighted to say that Nanny has made a full recovery.
A New Arrival!
It's exciting times at the farm as we've had a baby cria (llama) born in the fields over the weekend.
He's doing great - but just as a precaution we've fetched him in and popped him a little jacket on.
Please feel free to make your name suggestions below.
The Yorkshire Show Adventure – A Mini Documentary!
We've had a great adventure at the Great Yorkshire Show and we made sure to film the special moments for a mini documentary. Join us as Ruby and Amber enter the show ring - and do #teamchf proud.
Emergency!
There's drama on the farm as one of our pygmy goats needs an emergency c-section - so it's a rush to Donaldson's Vets to try to save both mum and baby.
If this kid has any chance of survival, it's all in Rohin's hands.
