Beauty’s Transformation

Our Highland calf Beauty is going through a bit of a major transformation and is losing her calf coat - which means she will end up looking entirely different to what she does now.She is grazing outside for the Summer so be sure to watch out for her.

Naming Rainbow’s Foal!

We really need some help in naming Rainbow's foal - and we'd love it to be a weather / solar theme name. Join Farmer Kate as she checks in with our newest arrival - and our very very pregnant Shetland ponies.

Emma’s dramatic calving!

When our Highland Emma went into labour, it was apparent very quickly that something was very wrong.

Her calf was in the wrong position - so it was up to Farmers Wade and Harvey to step in to help.

Emley Show !

Our farm team headed to Emley Show at the weekend, showing Murphy, our Highland, our Shire horses Silver and Cannon Ball and our Dutch Spotted sheep.

Help us name our llama!

We have the most fabulous baby llama (cria) who has the most unusual markings - and he's becoming a real firm favourite.

He's quite reserved for a llama, and is a little bit shy - what do you think we should call him?

Getting show ready!

Our Highland bull Murphy is making an appearance at Emley Show - which can only mean one thing...it's bath time!

Farmer Ruth is in the hairdressing seat giving him a makeover...and it is always a bit of give and take when you have to handle these massive animals.

Welcome Puffle!

We are so proud to welcome a brand new species to Cannon Hall Farm's mammal house. Puffle, the long-nosed Potoroo, is on the endagered species list but Farmer Georgie has been working with her zoo colleagues to offer one a new home in Barnsley.

Shearing the alpacas!

Our alpacas have been sheared and we've got some amazing fibres from our friendliest crew on the farm.

It's so great to see them when they've been shared as they always look so different.

Sapphire’s Foal!

It's been a long time coming (it felt) but Sapphire has finally given birth to her beautiful Shire foal.

She managed it with just a little bit of moral support from Farmer Dave and Anita.

We are overjoyed. Don't forget if you plan to visit them, you can use code 20summer for discounted tickets.

Farewell friend

Join us as we say a fond farewell to our Shetland My Little Tony.

It’s almost time !

Sapphire's foal is imminent - we think tonight is the night as her milk is now starting to come in!

Exciting times down on the farm - and, of course, Farmer Rob had to come and take a quick peek (on his crutches)

A ray of Sunshine!

Helen's baby is one of the friendliest new arrivals we've ever had on the farm - and so naming her was an easy choice.

What a little ray of sunshine she is!
