Introducing Kraken!

He's stocky and well marked but will Farmer Dave's new favourite lamb Kraken be a champion of the future?

Lambing season has begun - and we are off to a great start.

When is Coco due?

Our distinctive Highland cow Coco is due to have her calf - she's been getting bigger and bigger and looks ready to pop.

She's the only black Highland we have here at the farm so we are excited to see what colour coat her latest arrival will have.

What colouring do you think the calf will have?

Shell-abration time for Turbo the Tortoise!

Get ready for a shell-abration! Our resident red-foot tortoise, Turbo, is moving in with his new roommates, the green iguanas including farm favourite Iggy.

His new digs are getting a little upgrade too, so he'll have plenty of room to roam around and hang out with his new friends.

Here's Farmer Emma to tell us all about his new home.

Foal Countdown!

Ruby's big day is approaching so we are making sure to give her lots of love and extra care, she's getting a bit of extra food and all eyes are on the CCTV for #foalwatch.

When will the new arrival be born?

Leasha the Llama

Leasha is the tiniest and most adorable member of our llama herd. This little cria (llama baby) was born back in the autumn, and we can safely say Leasha's mum, Priscilla, has took a real shine to Farmer Dale.

Naming Lady’s Calf

We have a new little Highland bull calf on the farm!

His mum, Lady, is also doing an amazing job taking care of her little one. She's an experienced mum and is keeping a watchful eye on him, making sure he's always safe and well-fed.

We've some great news as we have finally decided on a name, here's Farmer Darrell with the big reveal!

Meerkat Tree Foraging

Our meerkats are always looking for new adventures, and this year we've decided to give them a try at some tree foraging.

We've added an old Christmas tree to their enclosure - and they've made it into their very own playground.

Yum, yum, delicious!

Walking Ted (The Highland Bull)

Some people walk their dog...for Farmer Dave he's walking Ted, our Highland Bull, to get him used to the unusual and unfamiliar sounds of the farmyard.

Ted has grown into such a monolith - and we are so proud of him.

Who can remember when he was that cuddly bear of a baby?

Giving Alice a haircut!

Vidal Phil is on hand to help get our ponies looking in tip top condition...and reluctant Shetland Pony Alice is next in line for a new look.

But we aren't convinced she's all that thrilled with the idea of having a trim...

Bedding up the sheep!

Our ewes are getting closer to their lambing dates so it is now more important than ever to make sure they are bedded up correctly - and that means more straw than ever.

Join Farmer Dale on a morning shift...

A new arrival!

We've got one of the most perfectly marked Swiss Valais lambs that's just been born at Cannon Hall Farm. In Farmer Darrell's words 'a cracking start for lambing 2023.'
