Ruby’s Grooming Trick
Our pregnant Shire Ruby is getting to the end of her pregnancy and is feeling a bit fed up with herself - she's feeling all itchy and uncomfortable so her pal Farmer Ruth is there with a tickle stick to save the day.
We bet this is the first time you've seen a Shire horse get raked...
Mucking out the pigs!
It's one of the longest jobs we have to do in a morning - and one that can't be automated by machines.
What does it take to look after our pigs? Farmer Dale joins the team for a special behind-the-scenes.
We're open every day if you'd like to come and see our piglets in person.
Silver is making moves!
Silver the Shire horse is due to give birth in March - but unfortunately Blossom is hogging all the food.
We are temporarily moving her to our shire horse 'maternity unit' in our Roundhouse so we can monitor her progress.
Check in on her and Ruby in this special behind-the-scenes glimpse into life at Cannon Hall Farm.
On the JCB
It's just a few weeks to go before lambing begins at Cannon Hall Farm and our ewes are enjoying the pastures at Mill Spring - but our tiered lambing season means its time to give them some extra food.
Farmer Rob is taking a turn on the JCB to get it done...what could possibly go wrong?
Armadillo Weigh In
How do you convince an active, hairy armadillo that it's time for a health check weigh in?
With food bribery of course!
Join Farmer Georgie in the mammal house as she tempts Nessa and Tank onto the scales...
Morning at Cannon Hall Farm
Morning has broken at Cannon Hall Farm and its time to feed the animals to prepare them for the day ahead.
Farmer Dale makes pals with Sapphire, our pregnant mare, and calls in on Elliot and Herkules.
Preparing for the lambs
It's just one month to go until our lambing season of 2023 begins - and we are preparing for an awful lot of work.
Farmer Ruth is in the roundhouse with our first due ewes to talk you through what we are doing behind the scenes to look after the ladies.
You can book tickets for lambing at www.cannonhallfarm.co.uk.
Farmer Dave and Pip
Farmer Dave and Pip are off checking the sheep to make sure they haven't raided our new seeds - and to make sure we keep the lush, green grass of Cannon Hall Farm that way for Spring. Our work is never done - and we'd love it if you could support us by visiting us in 2023.
Caring for the cows!
Even though we are a tourist attraction, we are first and foremost a farm...which means our farmers have many daily tasks to complete to keep our animals happy and healthy.
Join us in this vlog from the farmyard where Farmer's Will and Wade give some special care to the Highland Cow herd...
New Lambs!
We've started off the year with a baaaa-ng - and some amazing new arrivals.
Join Farmer Kate as she introduces the first lambs of this year - and the first of many to come as our annual lambing season is just a few weeks away.
A reindeer treat
Farmer Dave has taken a very special delivery from our pals at B&Q - and the reindeer are absolutely delighted with their New Year Treat.
Christmas trees are a tasty snack in the North Pole, don't you know?
