Naming the Highlands

The two newest members to Cannon Hall Farm's Highland Fold have been named at last.

Join Farmer Ruth as we make a very special introduction to Flora and Wallace of Cawthorne.

Don't forget that weekday farm admission is just £4.95 per person and includes the soft play.

Fixing up Mill Farm

A Drone’s Eye View

Farmers Rob and Dave are moving the sheep in our rolling countryside, but with such expansive grounds to cover, how do we do it?

We have a restoration project underway to fix some walling - and Pip our Sheepdog and our Polaris Off Road ranger has certainly come in handy.

Judo the baby cloud rat

Introducing Judo!

Farmer Georgie is in the mammal house where our Northern Luzon Giant Cloud Rat Manila has had a baby - allow us to introduce you to Judo.

This is literally the cutest thing you will see today - and we are making sure to contribute to worldwide research about these amazing creatures.

Jeremy and the cows

Our Shorthorn Herd

Do you ever wonder why we choose some of the breeds we keep at Cannon Hall Farm?

Join Farmer Dave as we tell the story of how our Shorthorn herd first came to the farm - from Jeremy's first moments to our very first calves.

The future of our fold

The future of our fold

Fern and Emma's young calves are already showing some fantastic qualities and we are really hoping that they might follow in mum's footsteps and be prize-winning cows one day too.

Join Farmer Dave as we check in with the Cannon Hall Farm fold.

Building a new flock

Join us as we begin forming a brand new flock here at Cannon Hall Farm.

It was our busiest year yet for lambing - but one breed that really stood out to us was our Dutch Spotted lambs born in June.

These little lambs are extra special as they will one day become breeding ewes in our new founding flock.

Diamond and Jon Bon Pony

Our Shetland Pony Diamond had a really tough time earlier this year, when she lost her foal.

Her recovery has been slow-going, but we've put her in with Jon Bon Pony who seems to be helping her get back to full health.

Join Farmer Dave as we check in on this precious pony pair.

Little Roger's Big Antlers

Roger the Reindeer!

It's been a while since we last updated you on Roger, he's the only reindeer we've had born here at the farm, and we are so proud of how he's been progressing. He's now sixteen months old and is growing well. Here's a little catch-up with Farmer Darrell.

No new alpacas?

We usually have around four to five new alpacas born on the farm each year - but you may have noticed there hasn't been any for 2022.

Ever wondered why? Well, we are changing our breeding programme - but it does mean big things for next year.

Expecting foals!

The miniature donkey herd are living their best lives in the sand paddock - and there's some exciting news from the herd.

We're expecting our fluffy foals to arrive later than usual this year - our miniature donkey foals are due in November.

Elliot and Rosie

Our Shires

Our two Shire foals Elliott and Rosie are growing up fast and they really are something special.

Elliott's colouring is really starting to come through now and Ruby and Orchid are loving the bit of freedom the foal's independence are giving them.

Please bear our family farm in mind for a visit - we really would love to see you.
