Farmer Dale with Stanley and Gloria
Farmer Dale feels that Stanley and Gloria have been somewhat neglected in our more recent broadcasts - so please join him as he catches up with two of our old farm favourites.
Don't forget - you can adopt our goats on our website now.
Tiny Lamb’s Triumph
My how he's grown! Tiny isn't so tiny any more but we couldn't be happier about it.
Thanks to the special care and attention he recieved from our whole team, he's absolutely thriving and he's ready for stepping out into the big wide world with his mum.
An Injured Iguana!
Our farm isn't just about the cute and furry animals.
We have a special reptile house that we custom-built to home rescue reptiles that were saved from unsuitable domestic homes.
Farmer Kate really loves the reptile house - and she's joined by Farmer Ruth as they tend to an injured iguana.
About our Llamas
** JUST FOR KIDS **Farmer Darrell thinks our Llama's are the guardians of the sheep - and they've got a very special friend in Phillipa the Goat.
Make sure you listen carefully so you can answer the three questions - and post your llama drawings to our page wall so we can see them.
Trimming the goat’s feet!
Anyone for a mani pedi?
Farmer Robert touched upon it on his live broadcast this morning but our farm team are now hard at work trimming the goats feet.Join Farmers Dale, Darrell and Alex for a sneak behind the scenes as we start this mammoth task.
Goat Kidding!
** WARNING: EXTREME CLOSE UP OF BIRTH **
Not all our farmers are comfortable talking to camera but during lockdown they have really come together to provide an amazing bank of video footage for us to share with you.
Here's an extremely close up view of a pygmy goat kidding. What an incredible thing to be able to share this.
Treating the ewes!
Farmer Ruth, Dave and Dale have been doing health checks on the ewes - including some injections for them and, of course, dagging.
Tune in for our farmers to explain yet more of the daily jobs that need to be done when caring for sheep!
Lily and her calf
Farmer Dale and Darrell are looking after Lily and her calf - and the first job is to take Lily up to the milking parlour to help ease her with the first colostrum.
They were extra careful to preserve that super important milk so that it could help other calves if needed.
Goat Shelters
With the changeable weather, Farmer David had an idea about bringing in some shelters for our goats.
Watch as Dave and Rob get out the heavy machinery to make our Picasso field a bit more luxurious.
Checking the udders!
It feels like our farmers work is never done - on top of back-breaking work shearing, Farmer Dave has been heading into the fields to keep check on our ewes.
Hundreds of ewes had to be lifted and turned to meticulously check on their welfare.Join him now as he makes his rounds.
The escapee lambs!
Poor Farmer Dave had a job on his hands when he spotted three Soay lambs had escaped through a hole in the fence.
Who needs a gym when you've got these guys keeping you fit?Join him as he rounds up the escapees.
Injecting our lambs!
They may be out in the fields, enjoying the joys of Spring, but our lambs still need to have some TLC from the farmers.
Join Farmers Dale, David and Robert as they head into the fields at Mill Farm to do an injection day - where the lambs are all given their needles. If needles make you squeamish you won't want to watch!
